British parrot goes missing for four years, suddenly returns speaking Spanish

A man in California had reported his African grey parrot, Nigel, missing, and after about four years, Nigel returned to him. However, he couldn't understand why his parrot, who spoke in the Queen's English, no longer speaks English but Spanish. The parrot had wandered different places over the years and had picked Spanish phrases here and there. A microchip helped track and reunite him with his owner. #bird #parrot #parrots #funnyparrots #funanimals #petlovers #animallovers #animals

You already know that parrots are intelligent creatures with an impressive ability to learn quickly. They are intelligent and loving to hear. But what happens when you have your parrot missing for years?

Your story could be like Darren Chick’s, the man from Torrence Canada, who reported his African grey bird, Nigel, missing four years ago. The bird found its way to its owner, but his language changed.

It was surprising that the parrot who spoke English in the accent of the Brits said in Spanish phrases. As you would expect, it was strange for the bird owner who tried to claim ownership.

The bird even repeated the name of someone, Larry, who is said to have hosted him for those years. Nigel seems to have lived with another family, and you would expect that he may not have returned to the owner.

However, he had a microchip in him. The microchip helped to track him down after so many years. After which, he returned to its owner. The person who found Nigel also checked online for missing parrots ads.

From these animal platforms online, she found the contact details of Nigel’s actual owner, Darren Chick. While this story seems like another missing but found parrot story, it is pretty remarkable.

It is remarkable that a bird that could speak English before, within the space of four years of living elsewhere, speaks Spanish. The wandering creature had had a high life.
