Parrots are the best mimics out there. They can hear something once and repeat it back. These birds are natural chatterboxes. Sometimes they don’t ever shut up. That’s usually when their mommies and/or daddies like to cover their heads with pillows. But it’s still pretty endearing. They can sing, so

Parrots are the best mimics out there. They can hear something once and repeat it back. These birds are natural chatterboxes. Sometimes they don’t ever shut up. That’s usually when their mommies and/or daddies like to cover their heads with pillows. But it’s still pretty endearing. They can sing, some can even dance. But then there are those like the one that we see in this video that can quote movies. Take this parrot. She’s a fan of a movie franchise that has been running for decades.

We see an African Gray Parrot named Lottie saying that her name is “Bond, James Bond.” It’s a pretty good imitation, though I can’t place who the actor is. It’s still impressive. She flies over George Lazenby, Timothy Dalton, and Woody Allen in the Bond rankings. She still trails Daniel Craig, Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan, and Roger Moore. There’s still time for Lottie to move up higher if she makes more videos…

Aside from the slightly unsettling part of it being a female parrot pretending to be James Bond, it’s pretty cool. Then again, it wouldn’t surprise me to see a female playing Jane Bond in the not-too-distant future. Maybe she would be the result of one of James’ dalliances with a Bond girl. Hollywood, if you like that idea, give me a call.

This video reminds me of a joke I heard a long time ago. Burglar breaks in dark house. He hears “Jesus is watching.” He shines a light on the source. It’s a parrot. “What’s your name?” he asks it. “Clarence.” “Clarence? Who’s Jesus?” “That’s the Rottweiler.” It’s pretty cool that she can quote this film. If her mommy and daddy really wanted to bowl me over, she could do “The Princess Bride” in its entirety… in every role.

Now they need to get a parrot who says that he’s Blofeld. Then it would be perfect. What do you think? Leave a comment below!
